#8 Commentary

I do agree with Alexus post about how women should be able to work even if they are pregnant, like she said they can easily be moved to another department. Or you can honestly call corporate because they know women get pregnant and don't have a system or a department for women who are pregnant. Why hire them anyway? They should be treated fairly just as much as disabled people do.
UPS really need to look into that and solve that quickly, because it is not fair, and soon enough women will protest against that! whether they are pregnant or not.

Obamacare

Many people did not like Obamacare when it was first introduced, now when it became a law.
The Republicans have been trying to repeal Obamacare from the beginning. I don't think they should. It has helped many people and I do believe it should be equal opportunities whether you are rich or poor when it comes to health. The fact that Republicans are trying to stop that from happening makes me very angry. It is unfair.
Maybe cutting back the amount is more reasonable, but simply cutting it out is not right. I also feel really happy at the fact that, it has been said that 9 Republicans have voted for the expansion of the Obamacare, so it won't be going away.
My other issue with repealing it is that, Republicans feel that if they took it away it wouldn't harm people in any way. I think that is absolutely selfish to say because, not everybody is rich like them or have the means to make everything happen in their lives. They also stated that it is not a real improvement, but in reality it is. I believe Obamacare will last and will carry on for a long time.
Everything should be equal opportunity in America but it's really survival of the fittest, if the Republicans get back in control of the government.
They also mentioned a filibuster so the Democrats can possibly turn the tables on Republicans. I think that is a brilliant idea because it has always been done to Democrats, so it's fair.

Obama and the Fundraiser for Quinn

The speech Obama made at the fundraiser for Quinn, I believed people of Chicago should support. I say that because I was born and raised there and I know how hard it can get. The plan he has, i think will work if everyone voted for it, I do not think it is rigged but I do believe there are people involved who are not totally honest. There was a comment made towards the democrats and I do not agree with it at all.
Not every democrat or republican is honest. I do believe Obama has tried to pass laws or make progress towards raising minimum wage, but there are republicans in office who won't allow him to pass these laws. So it makes him look like a coward, or he never did anything for the country.  I don't think Obama is wrong at all for blaming the republicans on why he can't progress. He has every right to. If people actually supported this plan, it will succeed rather than criticizing it.
I believe the author of this comment is a republican who use to live in Chicago many years ago and don't realize how tough it has gotten out there. His targeted audience is higher class people, who don't work off of minimum wage.
I can see where the author is coming from, but how he thinks that getting a vote from the republicans will make the plan work is where I disagree. Obama is not asking for their vote because they will disagree with anything he brings forth to the table. Also it is not a fraud, I think it's the right way to go. Commentary

College campuses have multiple cases of assault happening around the country. I believe that colleges should take initiative before it happens. In most cases, it happens in broad daylight which is really scary and make students feel that it isn't a safe place. Which in my opinion, I feel college should be a worry free place when it comes to any kind of assault. This article in particular is a great one to read. Obama and many others are starting a education campaign called "It's On Us" about sex assault on campuses and how we should prevent it from happening. Its goal is to help students help other students in these situations. Hopefully this helps with limiting the times it happens. I know it won't completely stop it from happening but it should start making students feel secure around campuses. I think it's a good mission to accomplish soon.
